I've been taking portraits of vintage dolls and mannequins since 2006. Most of the dolls I photograph date from the 1930's to 70's and I particularly love vintage Polish cloth dolls & American oilcloth / carnival dolls.

Finding the vintage dolls and mannequins is a challenge but I make it a bit harder for myself because I only take photos using natural sunlight - macchie solari is Italian for 'sun spots' - and no artificial light or flash.

I'm not interested in making vintage dolls or mannequins look 'creepy'. My aim is to take a photo they would be proud of themselves.

When I'm not taking photos or making animations, you'll most likely find me with my friends and family, watching Italian giallo or at the funfair.
